Who said “not art?” Not I, Tyler. I said “no artist.” I do not have an artist’s courage. It’s just not normal…this semi-fictitious scribblin’ of mine.
There is a fine line between touching and creepy, sentimental and pathetic, courageous and deluded. Walking that line makes for an interesting ride, but it’s a tumultuous one for an overthinking, overdrinking head tripper like me.
I don’t know who draws that line. Perception, I guess. Is it the faces staring at me in the bar? Is there a universal social standard? Is it only people who’s opinions matter most to me? Or is it simply the voice inside my head? I can’t decide. But an artist… an artist would decide.
